It’s funny how around 3 months ago I was asking myself when summer would actually end. Now that I look back at the days where I was sweating on my way back to the apartment, I kind of wish warmer days were still around. It’s funny because when I compare the temperatures here and back home, it’s colder back home (and snowing) but it feels colder here. Probably because the apartment isn’t as insulated as the rather old house I lived in back in the US? The cold has not been kind to my skin. The skin on my hand is dry and rough. Methinks it’s time to go buy some hand lotion.
I’ve been running both AC units in my apartment so I expect the electricity bill to go back up to what I paid in the summer. Goodbye cheap electricity bill. Getting up in the mornings is hard because I don’t want to get out of my warm and comfy bed, but having the room heated up makes it less unbearable I suppose.
In terms of traveling, I have a big trip planned at the end of the month. I’ll write more about it after but the initial plan is Fukuoka -> Okunoshima -> Kyoto. Starting around Christmas (yes I ordered cake) and ending after the New Year. This is the biggest trip that I have taken so far in Japan, and I am looking forward to seeing a lot of new places. Especially rabbit island. Lots and lots of photos will be taken.
Until then, thanks for reading.
